Driving Instructor Enrolment and Training Procedure.

The route to become an Approved Driving Instructor involves:

1. Submitting an application and attending an interview with your local trainer.
2. Fill in and submit your registration and training agreement forms.
3. Freetrain will set up a business bank account and overdraft facility to pay for the course. (Terms and conditions apply)
4. Fill in the (DSA) Driving Standards Agency application form and undergo a criminal records check. (Paid for by the DSA).
5. Start studying for the Part 1 theory and hazard perception test, taking the test as soon as you are ready. The cost of the first attempt is included in the course price. There is unlimited attempts at this test!
6. When you pass the Part 1, start the Part 2 driving course. Unlimited training for this test is included in the price and the cost of the first attempt is included in the course price. Candidates have three attempts at this test.
7. After passing Part 2 driving test, for which you will have been well prepared, you start and complete forty hours of in car instructor training. We then apply for your six month training licence (price included in the course fee) which allows you to learn while you earn, gaining valuable experience prior to taking the Part 3 test of instructional ability. We also assist you obtain a tuition vehicle and invite you to head office to meet the team, apply decals to your car, organise advertising and discuss the start up period with you.
8. During your time on the trainee licence, you will receive an additional twenty more hours of in car instructor training. The cost of the first attempt of the part 3 test is included in the course fee. Three attempts are permitted of this the Part 3 test.
9. When you have passed the ADI Part 3 test you are an Approved Driving Instructor and entered onto the register. You will then display the green identification certificate in the lower left corner of your car wind screen and receive 36 monthly payments from Systematic School of motoring which repay the total cost of the course fee.
